John Kennedy provides fresh, grassroots level perspectives to project design and implementation. Hailing from a very humble background from a remote village in one the most backward districts, Dharmapuri, of Tamil Nadu, India, John is passionate about public health. With a Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from Loyola College, Chennai and with over 20 years of experience in public health projects funded by reputed organizations (UNICEF, WHO, Missorier-Germany, Bloomberg Philanthropies, CARITAS-India etc), John focuses on social determinants of health which is critical in research and programme design and implementation.
An award-winning professional, he is proud of the Governor Award (2005-06) from Government of Tamil Nadu and Mother Theresa Award (2002-2003) from his alma mater Loyola College.
